About Apollo Hospital, Indraprastha

Indraprastha Apollo Hospital — established in 1996 as a joint venture between the Government of Delhi and Apollo Hospitals Group — is one of India's most prestigious super-specialty hospitals and the flagship Apollo institution in North India. Spread across a 15-acre campus with 600,000 sq ft, it operates 718 beds and serves 600+ specialist doctors across 52 specialities. It holds the singular distinction of being the first hospital in India accredited by JCI in 2005 — reaccredited five consecutive times. The cardiac programme achieves a 99.6% bypass success rate (91% beating heart). India's first paediatric liver transplant was performed here in 1998, and 500+ liver transplants have followed. First in South Asia to install SPECT-CT, PET-CT, and PET-MR. Cancer care deploys CyberKnife VSI, NovalisTx, and TrueBeam STx. The hospital has the maximum ICU beds in any private hospital in India and houses Asia's largest Sleep Lab. Ranked 12th in India by Newsweek 2025.
